Underline The Subject In Each Sentence. Draw a line through any phrase that separates the subject from the verb. The subject is the main object the sentence is talking about, and the verb is either plural or singular depending on the subject.
A subject may be a noun (a person, place, or thing) or a pronoun. It makes us think there is new information or a follow-up question and we spend time opening the thread. Exercise B: Identifying Subjects and Verbs.
